The breathtaking Cathedral of Learning at the University of Pittsburgh provided a unique backdrop for a collaboration between Workscape and Construkt, juxtaposing modern furniture and pre-fabricated interiors within a classic architectural setting. Teaming with POH Architects, our team provided both furniture and DIRTT to modernize the 22nd and 23rd floors of the largest academic building in the Western Hemisphere. To liven up this historic building, DIRTT's glass walls and Knoll's colorful, modern furniture were used to create friendly, freshly lit public areas that students utilize in-between classes. Using DIRTT, rather than traditional construction, also reduced the project's timeline, keeping the job's completion date on time.
