ach June, Chicago transforms into a hub of creativity, design, and inspiration as NeoCon and MillerKnoll Design Days brings together designers, clients, and thought leaders to celebrate what’s next in workplace interiors. This year, the Workscape team had the opportunity to experience Design Days2025 first hand—and returned energized by the innovation, storytelling, and forward-thinking vision woven throughout each showroom.

One of the standout experiences came from the MillerKnoll Archival Exhibit, a beautifully curated collection showcasing legacy pieces from both Herman Miller and Knoll.

"My favorite part of this year's Design Days was the MillerKnoll Archival exhibit,” said Workscape Furniture Designer, Macy Miller. “The storytelling through design made me reflect on how legacy shapes innovation in today’s interiors. It was also neat to see both Herman Miller and Knoll seamlessly come together in one showroom! Both showcased the best of the best in design."

Workscape CEO Ginny Rothschild echoed the excitement around the unified MillerKnoll showroom. "Seeing Herman Miller and Knoll together in one space was incredible,” she noted. “I’m especially excited for the launch of Knoll Skyline, and DIRTT’s fire-rated walls were another highlight. Muuto also looked better than ever."

Design Days is about more than just product launches—it’s about the materials, stories, and purpose that shape the built environment.

"I've never been to Design Days or NeoCon, so I wasn't sure what to expect,” explained Workscape Furniture Designer, Mary Whitmore. “This year I was most struck by the attention to materials. MillerKnoll's artful approach to how they choose to display their product is always unmatched—but this year they highlighted finishes, both new and existing, that left our team filled with excitement."

Workscape Design Director, Lisa Impavido was moved by the beauty and emotional resonance of the Knoll showroom. "My favorite part of Design Days this year was the Knoll showroom; it was stunning!" she exclaimed. "The Verde marble Florence Knoll Table brought me to tears!"

MillerKnoll Design Days 2025 was a powerful reminder of the impact thoughtful design can have—not only in form and function, but in how we connect with history, craft, and innovation. From archival storytelling to future-facing materials and standout moments from brands like Muuto and DIRTT, the event reaffirmed why design matters.
