he University of Pittsburgh volleyball, gymnastics and wrestling programs have a new home, and Victory Heights is designed to be much more than a place to compete.
The new facility brings together training, performance, recovery, collaboration, and community in one environment built around the needs of Pitt’s student-athletes. For Workscape, being part of the project meant helping create spaces that support the team both on and off the court.
Throughout the project, Workscape worked closely with Pitt’s coaches and student-athletes, using their direct feedback to help inform the furniture, layouts, and spaces within the facility. That collaboration helped shape an environment that reflects how the team trains, works, connects, and spends time together.
“It was an honor to be part of a project so deeply informed by the people who use it,” explained Workscape Account Manager, Molly Snee. “Working from direct feedback from Pitt’s coaches and student-athletes gave us the opportunity to help shape spaces that support not only how they train and perform, but how they interact and connect with one another.”
From team spaces and meeting areas to places designed forstudying, gathering, and taking a break between practices, each area plays arole in supporting the complete student-athlete experience.
Victory Heights also represents an exciting new chapter for Pitt Volleyball. As a longtime partner of Pitt women’s athletics, Workscape was proud to contribute to a facility that will serve the Panthers for years to come.
We’re excited to see these teams make Victory Heights home and to watch everything that happens here, both on the court and throughout the spaces in between.
